Middle of my Adventure. . .

I failed after 3 days of not getting on social networks. I got on twitter the third day into the adventure. I feel like I had to get on a social site because I usually tweet when something exciting happens and on that day my cousin fell up the stairs and it was something I had to tweet. I feel like I couldn't waited to tweet because if I did it wouldn't have felt right.

Beginning of my Adventure. . .

Today is the day where I start my adventure to no Twitter and no facebook for a week. This is going to be really hard. I feel like I need to be on social networks to communicate with my friends. When I told my mother about this she said just use your phone to talk to them. But I do I use the phone and social networks. But I really want to try this task and see if I can accomplish it.

Failed my Adventure. . . =((

My mission was to stay off any social network for the whole Thanksgiving break and after 3 days, I have failed. In my mind I felt like I needed to tweet, especially since I tweet almost 100 tweets a day before the task came along. When you are use to doing something everyday it becomes a "MUST". Also I get on facebook everyday just see what's on their and since that was apart of my daily routine I felt as though I had to do it. I really believe I can do it if I don't think about it to hard and since this was Thanksgiving break when a lot of exciting things were happening put more pressure on because I usually tweet something exciting or funny. I think I should try this task again soon.

Addiction to the Cyber WORLD!

I believe only one of the solutions given can help me and that's stop procrastinating. The rest wouldn't work because i can go outside and spend time with family and still tweet or update a status. Remembering the telephone doesn't work well with me either because most of the time I'm on the phone and computer. Some solutions I would give to someone that is struggling with online addictions is make sure all your homework and chores are done before getting on any social networks. Me as a person I believe I am struggling with this addiction because when doing homework I'm on twitter, facebook, oovoo and listening to music. I often get distracted if the person I'm on oovoo with isn't doing homework because they would start talking to me. Also when I have homework that has to be done on the computer I get distracted by twitter and facebook because my computer is already up with the sites pulled up.

Against the Electoral College

I am against electoral college because the voters aren't picking their president. The Senate and the House of Representatives pick the president. When the voters vote their vote goes to the Senate and the HoR. I don't agree with that because when I get older to vote I want my vote to count for the president not the Senate or the HoR. It's not fair because most people think they are voting for their president but they honestly are not. Also what if the "wrong" person comes into office? Than a lot will happen in the world.

Young Boy Smothered

In this article a young boy name Leiby Kletzky  was lost and looked to help from a stranger name Levi Aron. Levi Aron didn't want to take the young boy home so he asked the Leiby did he want to go to a wedding with him and he said ok. They got back to Aron's house late so Leiby stayed the night. They slept in different rooms. Aron's plan was to return Leiby the next morning but he panicked when he saw all the missing posters. He smothered the young boy. He panicked again about the body. He cut the body up and put it a red suitcase he dumped in a trash can. I believe this is unbelievable because the young boy did nothing to that man. His life was tooken from him for no apparent reason. If people were more aware of these types of situations the world would be more better.

Gangbanger Shoots In ER

In this article  formal gang banger named Michael Wayman fired off several shots in a Bronx hospital aiming at a rival gang member. Wayman wounded a nurse and a security guard but not the gang member. The rival gang member escaped the shooting. Wayman disappeared after the shooting but was later arrested in a Hamilton Heights apartment the next day. He was charged assault and criminal possession of a weapon. I believe this type of behavior is outrageous. In the situation only two were wounded but in if this happens again more people can be wounded or they could even die. This type of behavior could be stopped if their more polices alert about gang rivalries.

Miracle

In this article  a 22 year old lady gave birth to a healthy baby girl name Kris hours after she was injured in a hit and run accident. After baby girl Kris was born Diann dies hours later from her bruises and injures from the accident. Since the mother is now gone of this earth, how will the baby be raised? Will she be sent to a family member or placed under foster care? I feel bad baby girl Kris because she will never get to meet her beautiful mother who dies hours after she was born.

Mexico's Drug War!

In article they talk about how Mexicans are sending dope to the U.S. The Mexican troops found 1.5 million kg of marijuana. The Mexicans are trying to send heroin to the U.S. I think this is a problem because they are sending drugs illegally to the U.S. I don't agree with this because something can go wrong with this process and someone can get hurt. I hope all participates get caught and put in jail for their actions.

Teen Pregnancies Are Outrageous!

Teen pregnancies have been a huge problem in the nation. In this article it talks about how teen pregnancies are growing in ages 15-19. Also it talks about how teen pregnancies are the biggest social issue and they 'know whether to encourage programs saying why they shouldn't have sex or focus more on birth control. The abortion and the STDS rates have increased. I believe that they should focus on birth control and worry about giving out protect because the programs is a waste of money. Either way the teens will do whatever they want to do because it's their life. After reading this article I asked myself two questions. One, why are debating about funds and why are they not giving those babies health care? Both questions are still wondering through my mind. The government can't fix whats already done. So how about do something to help thouse who already have kids and try to prevent others from having them.

Good Things Come To Those Who Work Hard!

I never thought anything good would come my way because I thought I wasn't working hard enough. Since 10th grade I've been working extra hard for something good to come my way. I recently just applied for a Washington Post internship and I put all my hard work into that application. I prayed everyday and night hoping I get this great opportunity. I had a interview on Friday with two men from the Washington Post. They told me they would call me some time this week if I got the internship. At 2:06 pm I received a call from one of the guys telling me I got the internship. My face and mouth dropped at the same time. I was both speechless and excited for the phone call. Now that I got this I KNOW I can do anything now.

R.I.P Steve Jobs

On October 5th 2011, America lost yet another great innovator; Steve Jobs. He was co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple, one of the most technologically advanced companies with products open to the public. Apple brand products are some of the most demanded products on the market. Though Jobs lost his battle to cancer, he still continues to make an impact on entire globe through a fruit that has changed the world several times; First, with Adam and Eve, then with Newton and finally with Steve Jobs--his legacy will live on in the modern world and continuously develop in his honor.

It gets harder each day.

Without any type of break...thats worth taking.

It'll only cause you to have to work harder and longer for what would seem like a  lifetime.

Knowing someday, even if I'm old and grey, the work will eventually get lighter.

These things can keep teenagers out of a lot of trouble. they would have a way to express their selves without doing something that would get them in trouble with the law or with their parents. A lot of teenagers need different outlets to clear their mind because not everyone is the same. A lot of teenagers also just need someone to sit down and listen to them talk. If more people become more interactive with our youth today than crime would probably go down.

Rapist ALERT!

 In March of 2011 two 11 year old girls were raped by gang members.  One rape happened in Michigan and the other in Texas. They have convicted several suspects for both crimes. The young girls were forced into this situation. Its sickening how grown men can cause so much hurt and pain to some one so young. The gang members video taped the crime and that's how they were found. I thought older men were always suppose to see younger girls as a daughter or niece and help them! NOT HURT Them! This is a big problem because now I feel less safer than before. I really hope their cases are solved and those men are given life in prison.

Welcome To AMERICA!

I wish people stop killing each other. Don't they know we all God's child. Don't they know once they kill someone they family or friends come after you and it goes back and forth. I'm tired of my friends dying. I'm tired of getting dressed up to see them in black boxes. I'm tired of crying uncontrollable tears. I'm tired of living each day scared because I don't know when I'll lose my life next. I wish people would open their eyes and realize it's more to the more than just guns, jail and death. Pick up a book and go to school. Welcome to America! Where all you see is DEATH awaiting YOU!

PROTECT My RIGHTS!

In the article "Protect Our Right to Anonymity" it basically talks about how a police officer installed a GPS device on a suspected drug dealers car with a warrant. In my opinion I believe that is invading his 4th amendment and shouldn't be allowed to use the device in court. I believe this is invading his private because no one expects a GPS device to be with 24 hours, 7 days a week. It's just not normal thinking. It also is installed WITHOUT a warrant being they had NO permission to do so. If the officer is allowed to use this device in court against the suspect, it will give officers the right to install devices on everyone else and that's not fair.

Being YOURSELF Hurts!

Being you can be very hard if you're easily influenced. The youth would do anything to be consider "cool". Most people don't accept lesbians, transgenders, bisexual and gays. They call them names and treat them like they don't exist. This type of behavior drives them to do things to their self. Things like cut theirself or better yet commit suicide. I don't understand why everyone can't just get alone and everyone accept everyone.

Stop Judging Me!

People are always quick to judge someone. If am young, black and pregnant I'm being considered a whore. No that's not always true. No one knows what happen to me for me to be pregnant. I could have got raped. If someone sees me sitting on the corner at night they might think I'm a prostitute. When really my mom just put me out and i have no where else to turn to. Being an African Americana female in America is very hard.

  In my article basically it talked about the rumors of the iPhone 5. Every once in a while a new rumor comes out about the iPhone 5. This new clue is very important because the people at MacRumors really did their research. They saw a case that fits the iPhone 5 and found some measurements. They found out that the iPhone 5 will have a 4 inch screen and will be sightly thinner the iPhone 4. This is very important to the iPhone users and Apple’s rivals.
